FY 2010 Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program - Public Notice

BUREAU OF STATISTICS AND PLANS - PUBLIC NOTICE

The Bureau of Statistics and Plans submitted an application to the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance for funding under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program State Solicitation for fiscal year 2010.  These funds will be used fund the second year of the following priorities in Guam’s FY 2009 – 2012 Drug Control, Violent Crime and Criminal Justice Systems Improvement Strategy: law enforcement, sexual assault, treatment and rehabilitation, technology improvements, violent crime, and evaluation. These priorities are consistent with the federal purpose areas for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant. They also reflect crime and public safety statistics and issues for Guam.  This grant application will be available for public review at the Bureau of Statistics and Plans located in the Ricardo J. Bordallo Complex in Adelup, Hagatna, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., workdays from June 21, 2010 to August 6, 2010.  Written comments on the FY 2010 Strategy Update for Drug Control, Violent Crime and Criminal Justice System Improvement must be received by the Bureau by no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2010.  Comments can also be emailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
