Locally Produced Agricultural and Fish Products Purchased by the Government of Guam

Pursuant to Guam Public Law 33-93, the Bureau of Statistics and Plans (BSP) and the Department of Agriculture (DoAg) are required to collect and publish quarterly data on the volume of imported agricultural and fish products, as well as locally produced agricultural and fish products purchased by the Government of Guam. The law aims to enhance transparency about the quantity and types of produce and fish imported into Guam or procured by government agencies. Furthermore, the law highlights the vital role of farmers and their ability to supply agricultural and fisheries products that meet consumer demands. In addition to the imported data the BSP already collects and reports annually, it has now included information on government procurement of local produce and fish products. The data covers purchases made during the 1st quarter of Fiscal Year 2026. The BSP extends its appreciation to the Government House, Guam Department of Education, Department of Youth Affairs, Department of Public Health and Social Services, Guam Memorial Hospital Authority, and the Department of Corrections for their contribution to this report.
